Carly Ellingsen, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Ellingsen is a lifelong Washington resident who is excited to join the Regal Veterinary team! She grew up in Spokane and worked in the greater Seattle area for 3 years after graduating from the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. She attended Washington State University Honors College for undergraduate, majoring in Zoology with a minor in Spanish. She spent her year between college and veterinary school performing research at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute in Front Royal, Virginia. Her research focused primarily on the reproduction of multiple endangered species including the Przewalski’s horse, the Dama gazelle, as well as multiple species of tapir. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is the relationship formed with clients and their pets, as well as the idea of following an animal throughout its lifetime. She likes nearly all aspects of general practice but some of her favorite interests include dermatology, dentistry, and internal medicine. Outside of work, you will likely find her out on the lake or up in the mountains with her husband, Jeremy. She loves spending her days off with her fur babies Rainier (a young, energetic Golden Retriever), Hattie (a friendly but quirky German Shepherd mix), and George (a fluffy and talkative orange cat). As a fourth generation WSU graduate with multiple family members in the WSU Athletics Hall of Fame, her passion for the school runs very deep. Most Saturdays in the fall, you will find her rooting on the football team from either near or afar, attending athletic events any chance she gets!
